![]() LNR's investment activities are primarily comprised of: Real estate properties: We invest directly in real estate by acquiring, developing, repositioning, managing and selling properties. LNR's strategy is based on creating added value for every property. These assets include rental apartment communities, office buildings, industrial/warehouse facilities, retail centers, hotels and land. Real estate loans: We invest indirectly in real estate by purchasing high-yielding loans that are collateralized by real estate. LNR applies its underwriting skills and workout experience to consistently generate high rates of returns on these loans. Real estate securities: We invest indirectly in real estate by typically purchasing non-investment grade commercial mortgage-backed securities ("CMBS") where LNR can act as special servicer and utilize its underwriting and workout skills to enhance the performance and value of these securities. Due diligence process: Every investment we make is subjected to our unusually rigorous due diligence process which involves intensive research to clearly define (1) the current market value of each investment candidate; (2) the investment's risk profile; and (3) the investment's profit potential. |
